abstract = {We study the 2D 5-state clock model for different lattice sizes to investigate its phase transitions. We used Glauber dynamics Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) simulations to illustrate the plots{\textquoteright} average internal energy, magnetization per site, susceptibility, and specific heat. As a result, the average energy per site decreases as the lattice sizes increases, as the average magnetization per spin steadily rises and stabilizes to a single value. Meanwhile, the susceptibility depicts a single peak while the specific heat depicts double-peaked curve which can accommodate the proposed the two-phase transitions of BKT-type and Ising type.},
