Monte Carlo study of response functions in a 2D 5-state clock model

We study the 2D 5-state clock model for different lattice sizes to investigate its phase transitions. We used Glauber dynamics Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) simulations to illustrate the plots’ average internal energy, magnetization per site, susceptibility, and specific heat. As a result, the average energy per site decreases as the lattice sizes increases, as the average magnetization per spin steadily rises and stabilizes to a single value.
