NIP students spend several years as junior researchers at its laboratories. As lab members they acquire programming, presentation, technical writing, and data analysis skills. Students have multiple opportunities to present papers at scientific conferences and co-author articles in refereed journals. These skills and experiences are invaluable as they enter the workforce. The diversity of employment options for NIP graduates reflect the flexibility of a physics degree.
