Sarah graduated from the NIP BS Physics program in 2003 and the MS Physics program in 2009. As an undergraduate, she was supported by a DOST-SEI scholarship. While completing her graduate research on migrating particles, she briefly worked as an NIP teaching assistant before joining the faculty of the Department of Physical Sciences and Mathematics (DPSM) of UP Manila in 2005. Sarah is now an assistant professor at the DPSM and plays an active role in developing its undergraduate and graduate programs in health physics.
